Solar Energy Investments by Industrial SMEs was a call of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye (KOSGEB). It supported industrial SMEs’ solar energy investments under the Green Industry Support Programme (Yeşil Sanayi Destek Programı), part of the Türkiye Green Industry Project. Support is open to companies registered in Türkiye. Foreign investors can apply for current programmes once they have set up a company in Türkiye.

Who could benefit?
The programme aimed to decarbonise the energy systems of SMEs in industry and raise their awareness of environmentally friendly technologies. It also aimed to increase their competitiveness by lowering their energy costs.
The call gave priority to projects that increased the use of renewable energy sources and made clean, reliable energy in industry sustainable.

Solar Energy Investments by Industrial SMEs was KOSGEB’s call for proposals no. 2023-01 under its Green Industry Support Programme.
The call aimed to decarbonise industrial SMEs’ energy systems and lower their energy costs.
The solar energy call covered rooftop solar power plant (GES) projects and GES projects within industrial facilities.
Machinery and equipment costs were supported on a repayable basis; projects providing clean, continuous energy were given priority.

Small and medium-sized enterprises registered in the KOSGEB database could apply to the solar energy call. They needed an approved Business Declaration and had to operate in the NACE sectors listed in the call.
