Export support application in progress: a digital checklist next to a target market map

Türkiye export incentives are the government programmes, both financial and technical, that lower the cost of selling abroad for companies starting to export or growing their export volume. Companies apply through the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye (KOSGEB). The programmes are revised regularly in line with national development plans and sector priorities, so tracking them has a direct effect on a company’s long-term health.

How Türkiye’s export incentives are organised

The support falls into two groups: individual support for companies and collective support for cooperation organisations. The Ministry of Trade is the main source in both; KOSGEB adds complementary programmes aimed mainly at SMEs.

Before applying, work out which support fits your particular product and market combination. Choose the wrong type and you lose time, and you may miss the programme that suited you better.

Export incentives for individual companies

The Ministry of Trade’s support for individual companies sits in four groups: market entry and research, trade fairs and promotion, brand and design, and setting up abroad.

Market entry and market research

  • Market Entry Certificate Support (Pazara Giriş Belgesi Desteği): Covers the testing, certification and documentation you need before your products can go on sale abroad.
  • Market Entry Project Preparation Support (Pazara Giriş Projesi Hazırlama Desteği): Helps fund the strategy document and feasibility work behind entry into a new market.
  • Overseas Market Research Support (Yurt Dışı Pazar Araştırması Desteği): Pays towards target country analysis, competitor research and buyer profiling.

Trade fairs and promotion

  • International Trade Fair Support (Yurt Dışı Fuar Desteği): Contributes to the cost of exhibiting at sector trade fairs abroad.
  • Domestic Trade Fair Support (Yurt İçi Fuar Desteği): Supports the cost of exhibiting at international trade fairs held in Türkiye.
  • Promotion Support (Tanıtım Desteği): Supports promotional activity in digital and offline media.

Brand and design

  • Overseas Trademark Registration Support (Yurt Dışı Marka Tescil Desteği): Contributes to the cost of registering your trademark to protect it in target markets.
  • Brand and TURQUALITY® Support: A comprehensive programme designed to position Turkish brands on the international stage.
  • Design Product Development Project Support: Supports original design and new product development.
  • Designer Company and Design Office Support: For companies investing in in-house design capability.
  • Design Support for the Shipbuilding and Yacht Sector: Set up to cover design costs specific to this sector.

Setting up abroad

  • Overseas Unit Rent Support: Covers the rent on offices, showrooms or shops opened abroad.
  • Overseas Company / Brand Acquisition Support: Funding for the strategic acquisition of a company or brand based abroad.
  • Multi-Channel Chain Store Support: For companies building a multi-channel retail network abroad.
  • Global Supply Chain Support: A dedicated scheme to speed up the integration of Turkish companies into international supply chains.

Support for exporters’ associations and other cooperation organisations

Support is not limited to individual companies. Exporters’ associations, chambers, sector associations and organised industrial zone managements can also use dedicated programmes. The aim is to help exporters act together and enter markets with collective weight. The main programmes fall into three groups: projects and reports, delegations and trade fairs, and design and promotion.

Projects and reports

  • UR-GE Project Support: Funds projects that build international competitiveness.
  • Export Consortium Support: Brings companies that form a joint export structure under one roof and supports them.
  • Market Entry Report Support: Covers the cost of sector-level market research reports.

Trade delegations and trade fair organisation

  • Sectoral Trade Delegation and Purchasing Delegation Support: Supports the cost of trade delegations sent abroad and of buyer delegations invited to Türkiye.
  • Virtual Trade Delegation Support: The online version of a physical delegation, supporting B2B meetings held remotely.
  • Virtual Trade Fair Participation and Organisation Support: Covers trade fairs held on digital platforms.

Design and promotion

  • Design Organisation Support: For organisations that run sector design events.
  • TURQUALITY® Promotion Project Support: Funds international promotion for brands within the TURQUALITY® programme.

How to claim export incentives: what to check first

A few critical steps, done properly before you apply, make the difference. For current legislation and the application conditions of each Ministry of Trade programme, see the Ministry of Trade export support page.

  • Eligibility check: Every programme sets conditions such as minimum turnover, headcount or export history. Confirm you meet them before you apply.
  • Documents: Missing or incorrect documents are the most common reason applications are turned down.
  • Deadlines: Some programmes require you to apply within a fixed period after the expense is incurred. Miss that window and the cost can no longer be claimed.
  • Programme updates: Programmes are revised in line with national development priorities, so keeping up with the 2026 changes really matters.
