Design and Product Development Project Support
Design and Product Development Project Support (Tasarım ve Ürün Geliştirme Projesi Desteği) was a scheme of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade. It was for exporting companies setting up design infrastructure. It was abolished on 23 February 2024, and no new applications are accepted. Support is open to companies registered in Türkiye. Foreign investors can apply for current programmes once they have set up a company in Türkiye. We identify with you the support that covers your design and product development costs today.

Design and Product Development Project Support was abolished on 23 February 2024 by Presidential Decision No. 8191, and no new applications are accepted. Employment costs in design and product development are supported for companies under the Brand Support Programme (Marka Destek Programı) and TURQUALITY®. Who could benefit, and what options exist today?

Ongoing projects
Applications that reached the Ministry before the abolition date and projects already under support continue under the old provisions. -
Exporters with branded products
For Brand Support Programme and TURQUALITY® companies, support covers employment costs for up to 10 design and product development staff at any one time. They can be designers, engineers or support specialists; only one can be a support specialist. -
Design companies and design offices
Design company and design office support covers 50% of registration, promotion, trade fair, employment and consulting costs for 4 years.

What replaced the design and product development support?
Employment costs in design and product development are supported for companies under the Brand Support Programme and TURQUALITY®; design companies and design offices benefit from Article 15 of Decision No. 5973.
Article 14 of Decision No. 5973 on Export Support was amended on 23 February 2024 (Official Gazette No. 32469, Presidential Decision No. 8191); the article now governs Green Deal Compliance Project Support.
